Searching for a Residential Home for a loved one is a difficult task; I looked at over a dozen homes before finding Twin Oaks Garden. And as the person who referred me said, "You'll know it when you see it". I would say that my first impression of Twin Oaks Garden was so positive that I could only hope that our choice would live up to my expectations; it did that and more. My mother was a resident there for almost two years (until she passed away), and our (yes, our) experience was definitely positive (ie. clean, great food, pleasant environment indoors and out). They maintain a cheerful yet professional atmosphere and I was always made to feel welcome there. I had peace of mind knowing that my mother was in a good place, yet knowing that should a concern arise, I would learn of it right away. Suzie (the owner) is both compassionate and professional, and is prompt to communicate with her families. The same is true of her extremely hard-working and capable staff. When my 102 year old mother broke her leg, we had unpleasant experiences in both the hospital and nursing home. Her nursing home stay was coming to an end and we knew it would be difficult to find the right facility to please my Scandinavian mother. A staff representative gave me a brochure for Twin Oaks Gardens and urged me to meet with Suzie and take a tour. It was wonderful advice. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from city traffic. It is a clean home with a European atmosphere. With my mother's advanced age I wondered if I would be able to convince Susie to accept mother. I needn't worry. Susie was so helpful in explaining procedures, introducing the residents and making the move easy. And best of all, the food was to my mother’s liking.
How can we say thank you, thank you for taking care of my mother. We are thankful for her having sincere, loving care 24/7 during her last days. She really did love Twin Oaks Garden and would brag on the good food. She would often say, "they give what I like and just the right amount." Suzie, your oversight of the medications gave us peace of mind.
A clean happy home was the best we could ask for. Also thankful that our friend recommended your place to us.
